Plan of Jim and Dianne's house

You can see the plan has been well read.
It is going to be a very busy week this week I will have to catch up on pic's of building because we yea!! are having handover on Thursday Yea!! and next Sunday my Eldest Daughter Belinda arrives from London with my 2 grandsons Dale and William and there Dad Neil arrives the following Tuesday Yea!!, they have been living in London for the last couple of years and I haven't seen them for 1 year they will be here for about 3 weeks. So very exciting but also very busy and I don't have time to have a nervous breakdown, we are (my youngest daughter and I) also a bit short staffed at work as well so as I said no time for nervous breakdown just a lot of packing and moving to do.

Neighbour's begone

We had a bit of a problem with neighbours over our back fence looking straight into our family Kitchen area, that is there back door over the fence, normally it would not be such a problem we were just going to grow some trees but they had build there side patio up out of concrete so when they walk out there back door and around there yard they were waist high so it was very easy to say hello. When I went down to the house there was Jim and my daughter busy making neighbour's begone.
Inside the house they had been very busy starting to put in the Kitchen cupboards and
Laundry cupboards. I wish I had measured the
Kitchen cupboards at this stage then I would of
realised the cabinet makers mistakes, more detail
about that later.

This is a Photo of my Beautiful Grandson Frederik who was born on my Birthday 31st March in the middle of building our house. These are recent photos of this very happy boy, who lives in Sydney with his Mum and Dad (Cindee & Wayne). He is my thrird grandson born to my second daughter Cindee. We are very proud grandparants Nannee & PaPa.

Inside night visit 10th May

While the brickie was busy outside the plaster was busy in side and I must say also doing a great job, we didn't get to meet the brickies but I found the plaster not really in to conversation.
The pics are our master bedroom still with the wrong front windows and looking towards the front door (which is not our final door) then down the hallway towards the Kitchen.
The house was really moving very fast at this stage I think if the last payment to the builder was the biggest then all the houses would be finished very fast.

Night visit 10th May

These pics were taken on the 10th April,
our Neighbours Wayne and Kayelene told us the brickies were nearly finished they started on the 2nd April and I wanted to leave them a little present for such a fab job they had been doing and also ask a little favour so I left them a nice note with a slab, (you can see the slab on the stack of bricks) it must of been the right language because they left a nice stack of Bricks for us at the back fence where I had ask them too. The left over brick were for our Letter box.
I love our bricks and the brickies did the best job also I love our lifter ed roof in the front of the house with the timber eves.

Bricks and Insulation

It was such a surprise to see the bath in I cannot believe how little things make you feel so happy.
While the lovely Brickies were busy on the outside the insulation went in. Oh I forgot to mention that they made a couple of little mistakes wrong windows in front on Master Bedroom which we did let them know the ones we wanted do not home a timber piece down the middle of the window. They will be changed.

All Rapped and Tiled

This is the roof tile colour up close. Then we were rapped in blue and our bricks were stacked nicely around the house. The dog at our front door is not ours is belongs to our great neighbours who as I said before were keeping us up to date while I was away working or visiting my daughter in Sydney when she had her first baby, Frederik my third grandson.

Starting to look like a house

I was a bit unhappy when I saw the colour of the guttering (colour is Jarrah) it looked way to dark for the bricks and roof tiles but no once again I was stressing over nothing all was good when the roof went on. It is so funny when I look back you seem to question your decisions every time another part of the house goes on.

Roof/Bricks this was also exciting

We have unberellas on our house or this is what it looked like to me (but no rain back then), and the best was seeing our bricks.

The bricks are Boral Port Phillip I love the bricks.

Just a little about the house and block it has a 3 metre easement down the right side and a 2 metre across the back, so we had a bit of a problem finding a house around the way we wanted, I will try and post a plan for you, we were very lucky to find Pro Struct because they were very helpful with changing plans. The size of the house is just under 29 sq's. Yes the photo is not straight I do get better at taking the Photos.
Also I must not forget a very BIG Thank you to our neighbours (next door) Wayne and Kaylene (sorry I know I am spelling your name wrong) they have been great keeping us up to date with what is happening at the house, because we live 1 1/2 hour drive away it has been hard to go there as often as we would like (like every day 24/7). You have helped to keep our stress level down, thank you again from Jim and myself.

Still March we have been framed

As everyone says we have been framed (by the way I put our slab photos around the wrong way)
We were very excited when the fence and toilet went up now with only a couple of weeks to go we cannot wait for it to be gonnnnneeee!!!!!!!

March was a busy time

This is a photo of our carpet that will be in the bedrooms, study and TV room, also the tile (450x450) for the rest of the house.
I thought I would send it to my daughter who lives in London along with other photos of the house, when I spoke to her a few days later on the Web Cam she said "Oh Mum the house looks great but what was the A4 paper on the carpet for". I suppose I am so focused on the house I forgot to explain.

March 2007

The poor man must of got a fright when he was digging a hole for our big post, I know we were a bit worried so we thought it best it take a photo
